Woodside hunting Plantation Features:
Woodside Plantation is now a private, members-only, preserve. We are no longer accept lodging. Only a limited few non-member hunts are available. Please call for dates.
Primary among its activity’s is a sincere effort to recreate quail hunting as happened in South Carolinas romantic past. Mule drawn wagons carrying fine bird dogs hunting explosive early release and supplemented quail traverse our multiple courses. Each course offers varying cover and conditions featuring pine woods and open fields. Our expert guides lead hunting parties of up to four shotgunners. Experiencing traditional quail hunting safely in a fun and challenging environment is our primary objective.
Every effort has been undertaken so as to create this special place and its grand experience. The land, birds, dogs, people, tradition and plantation all come together to offer the quail hunter and guests a truly memorable once in a lifetime event in the Souths most romantic traditions. The Woodside experience can be enhanced by charter of our private Hawker 400 XP twin jet engine aircraft as well as chartered in/off shore fishing with Captain Fuzzy Davis, renowned tarpon, trout and red fish guide off of Hilton Head Island.
Accommodations are available at the Woodside Plantation house originally built in 1871 or at our private cabin complete with fishing pond. Hospitality services can be arranged and non-shooting guests are welcome to fish, engage in farm activities, ride the horses or tour Savannah, Charleston and Hilton Head.
